Who do I do if my child is sick after office hours?
We understand that having a sick child is stressful, especially when your Pediatric Office is closed! As your child's medical home, we want to make sure we are available to offer advice even when we are not in the office. Our website contains a lot of information about how to handle various conditions that may arise, and is a good place to start. 

If you need to speak to someone about your sick child after hours, please call our main office number. Our answering service will connect you with either a nurse or provider to gt your questions answered. Our Providers are available 24/7 to answer questions and make sure your child gets the care that they need. If an emergency visit is recommended by our on- call staff,  we recommend you take your child to a Pediatric Emergency Provider, such as Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. 

What do I need to do, prior to my baby's delivery, if I choose to use Dunwoody Pediatrics as my baby's pediatrician?
We would love to meet with you for a prenatal visit and office tour before your baby is born! You can call our scheduling department to set up an appointment with one of our providers at any time during your pregnancy. New patient paperwork will be given to you at that appointment or can be found on our website under "Patient Forms".  

How do I refill my child's prescription medication?
To refill your child's medication,  just call our office refill line and our staff will take care of your request. Your pharmacy may alo send us an electronic request for refills. Please allow 2 business days for refills to be processed, and make sure your child is up to date with well checks and medication checks if they have a chronic illness!

Can I walk-in for my child to be seen?
All visits in our office at this time require an appointment, we are not able to accomodate walk-ins. If you walk in to request an appointment time, our schedulers will get you in as soon as possible, but please be aware it may be later in the day. 

Will we see only one doctor at Dunwoody Pediatrics or can we see any doctor?
We believe strongly in the power of continuity of care. We recommend you choose a primary provider in our office, and our scheduling team will help you make your well child checks with that provider. Rest assured, if your child is sick or has an unexpected visit and your primary provider is not available, any of our other providers are happy to fill in!
