Samantha is a nationally board-certified physician assistant. She started her medical experience in emergency medicine, both in the field and in the hospital setting. She continued her medical experience working at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona as a cardiovascular technician. She found a passion working with patients and wanting to further her education, she earned her Master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Midwestern University.
Since joining Dunwoody Pediatrics, she has been involved in multiple pediatric research projects, including AAP Sponsored Chapter Quality Network ADHD and Asthma projects, the Georgia Chapter AAP Pediatric Growth and Endocrinology ECHO Project. In addition, she has published in the BioMed Central Family Practice journal, she is an advisor on the AAP PROS Transdisciplinary Advisory Group (TAG), and she is an active member of both the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a fellow in the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
She enjoys working with children of all ages and especially helping parents throughout the different stages of childhood, from infant to adolescence. She spends her free time with her husband and two kids enjoying outdoor activities, cooking, and beach trips.
